Simplest Kite Kit
The Simplest Kite is a kite that you can fly anywhere. In many places it is difficult to fly a kite, either because there is no wind, or because there are too many trees or tall buildings, or because it is prohibited. With this kit, you and a friend can fly no matter the conditions.
The Kit includes string, instructions, and a video still, which is printed on clear plastic so that it glitters in the sun and leaves a photographic shadow. The Kit is held together with carabiners for adventures on-the-go!
The Simplest Kite Kit was developed as part of exhibition Waiting for the Wind at Compound YV, curated by Caroline Partamian.
Thank you to Christina Daniels, Mira Dayal, Nicole Kaack, Emily Mason, Lauren Sandoval, and Calil Singla for contributing to the videos that are featured in the kite kit.
